Offered Acridine Orange is derived from 3-diaminobenzene, dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and N,N-dimethyl-1. By using the process of condensation, Acridine dyes can be prepared by condensing 1,3-diaminobenzene and allied benzaldehydes. It also acts as fluorescent dye for selecting nucleic acid to determine cell cycle. अधिकover, it helps in staining human cells with and prokaryotes with green and bright orange color, respectively. This is done during the excitation of Acridine Orange under blue light at pH level of 3.5 while detecting the cells with the help of fluorescence microscope. Therefore, its application for viral research, exfoliative cytology and tissue culture has gained immense popularity.
